Dave Cornfeld becomes our office mate
We are excited to announce that Dave L. Cornfeld, one of the nation’s premier tax and estate planning lawyers, is now making his office with us.
Space won’t allow us to list all the distinctions he has received in his 70-year career since graduating first in his class from Washington University Law School in 1943 at the age of 21, making him a prodigy then and whatever is the equivalent now for someone in his 90’s.
But here are a few: He is a life member of the American Law Institute; founding member of the American College of Tax Counsel; fellow and founding member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel; former vice-chair of the Tax Section of the American Bar Association, for which he was editor-in-chief of its quarterly publication The Tax Lawyer, the nation’s premier peer-reviewed tax law journal; recipient of the Washington University Distinguished Law Alumni Award; longtime faculty member of the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning at the University of Miami School of Law; and 20-year adjunct faculty member in the graduate tax program in the Washington University School of Law.
Whew! Rick is very excited to have his father just a few feet away. He said, “Before, obtaining the best advice about the practice of law – or anything else, for that matter – meant having to make a phone call. Now I can just walk over to the next office.”
